We have equipped all of our new catamarans with a custom ocean cleaning system.
The system allows you to clean the ocean from floating plastic wherever you are sailing; and on top it also adds a whole new level of fun and safety to a charter boat.
The system is built to be able to scoop up plastic even when you are under sail; it's very strong.
Add a whole new level of fun to your daycharter by leaving the system slightly above the water, letting your charter clients hover very close to the water. Add a whole new level of safety with man-over-board or when clients are swimming in the water; by giving them a super simple way to get back onto the boat.
Performance facts:
- At 3 knots of speed you can clean 22.000 m2 of ocean surface per hour.
- Cleaning for 7 hours per day - you are cleaning 24 football fields at a depth of 0.4m
- The shallow draft of 0.90cm of the boat allows you to even clean close to beaches and other shallow areas
The materials we have used to build the first fully recyclable composite boat on the commercial market:
Fully recyclable, extremely strong and osmosis-resistant
Fully recyclable, solvent-free and harmless to health and nature
FSC-certified, sustainably grown, lightweight core material
To optimize strength and minimize weight, the LBV35 is built with innovative vacuum techniques using high-grade and sustainable materials. We are committed to incorporating real solutions like recyclable composites, harmless matrix systems and natural core materials in order to offer the highest quality and cleanest products and materials currently available.
The LBV35 and all her moulds are built entirely from volcanic fibers, harmless epoxy and balsa wood - a beautiful composition that delivers unprecedented quality whilst being fully recyclable.
Volcanic fibres are different volcanic rocks, ground, mixed according to a recipe, melted and then pulled into fibres.
The end product built with these fibers is as strong as carbon fibers, but much more flexible at the same time.
Our high-end epoxy matrix systems are divided in:
- 100% high-end and clean epoxy from the petrochemincal industry
- Partly green epoxy; a combination of products from the petrochemical- and food-industry
- 100% green epoxy which is a side product of the food industry
From the fast-growing balsa tree, we get the lightest and strongest core material which is 100% sustainable and recyclable.
Our balsa trees are nursed on a plantation in Ecuador which is also certified for his closed and environmentally safe production methods.
This is the opportunity to own the one-and-only truly sustainable boat!
