The LBV35 and all her moulds are built entirely from volcanic fibers, harmless epoxy and balsa wood - a beautiful composition that delivers unprecedented quality whilst being fully recyclable.
This is the only boat in the market that is completely built with these materials and that is fully recyclable in a sustainable way.
No greenwashing.
Volcanic fibres are different volcanic rocks, ground, mixed according to a recipe, melted and then pulled into fibres.
The end product built with these fibers is as strong as carbon fibers, but much more flexible and doesn't shatter on impact.
There is no boat on the market that is entirely built with volcanic fibers.
The quest of building sustainable boats is an ongoing process; for the first LBV35 we used a 100% clean epoxy, solvent-free and fully recyclable.
The fact that our epoxy is solvent-free makes it very safe and clean to work with; no smell, no fumes, no protection needed.
Only when an epoxy is solvent-free it can be recycled 100% (most epoxies and poliesters are composed of around 30-40% solvents, which fly away in the process of construction; whatever is left also can`t be recycled).
From the fast-growing balsa tree, we get the lightest and strongest core material which is 100% sustainable and recyclable.
Our balsa trees are nursed on a plantation in Ecuador which is also certified for his closed and environmentally safe production methods.
